The world’s oldest known Nile crocodile in captivity, Henry, celebrated his 121st birthday in style at Scottburgh’s Crocworld Conservation Centre on Thursday, 16 December. The public was invited to come out and celebrate with the 700kg birthday boy who munched on his favourite chunk of meat. Visitors enjoyed somewhat more appetising chocolate cupcakes with fudge icing supplied by the Fish Eagle Café. The holiday programme continues at Crocworld with daily animal demonstrations and feedings, while the Fish Eagle Café has launched a number of new additions including the Deck Bar, frozen cocktails, craft draft and panini menu. For those who can’t get to Crocworld Conservation Centre in person, the Crocworld’s Digital Zoo gives a virtual experience at https://thezyecarrgroup.co.za/Crocworld/.
