Moms get in free to Crocworld this Mother’s Day!

t’s time to show that mom – or mother figure – some well-deserved love on Sunday, 12 May and Scottburgh’s Crocworld Conservation Centre has just the thing! This beautiful coastal centre has announced a free entry pass for moms (accompanied by their children), and an epic Mother’s Day Buffet special served at the on-site Fish Eagle Café.

 

“Mothers play such an important role in our lives which is why we’re always so privileged to celebrate them on Mother’s Day,” said Crocworld Conservation Centre Manager, James Wittstock. “There’s no better way to for mom to celebrate this day than making some treasured memories with her family! That’s why moms will enter Crocworld free of charge on Mother’s Day if they’re accompanied by their children, making this an affordable way to spend a fantastic day out in nature with the family. The Executive Chef and Manager at Fish Eagle Café, Morne van Zyl, has also put together a delicious Mother’s Day Buffet menu that’s not to be missed.”

 

Visitors to Fish Eagle Café can sit outside on the wraparound deck, taking in endless views of the Indian Ocean while catching sight of frolicking dolphins. From 11.30am to 3pm, the Mother’s Day Sunday Lunch Buffet will keep diners happy and full with an incredible 3-course meal and special gift for the moms.

 

Starters include deep-fried coujons of hake; a creamy mussel, white wine and garlic pot; a fresh Greek, tangy beetroot, or basil pesto pasta and mozzarella salad with fresh rolls. The main course includes a selection of roast beef, pulled pork, and Kasmiri cajun chicken curry with an assortment of delectable sides and gravy. Finish the meal with a delectable dessert of mixed berry cheesecake fridge tart, fresh fruit salad, ice cream, and English toffee sauce.

Before or after the meal, visitors can enjoy the crocodile feeds and talk at 11am and 3pm with sightings of the world-famous Henry the Nile crocodile and his best friend, Colgate. There are many other reptiles to view, including a variety of beautiful snakes, and South Africa’s most endangered lizard, the Durban Dwarf Burrowing Skink. There are more than 200 bird species (more than some countries) found within the centre and its surrounding coastal forest, with barnyard friends waiting to be cuddled at The Animal Farm.
