Get Quality Christmas Gifts from Local Crafters at Crocworld

18 December 2025

Collaboration and community spirit are being celebrated this December, as local crafters head to Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh to showcase and sell their handmade goods directly to the public. Identified and supported by South Coast Tourism & Investment Enterprise (SCTIE), four local craftsmen will set up a mini market in the Crocworld parking lot between 9am and 3pm daily, selling quality items. Royal Lip, NcayiyaTraditional Culture, Ithalente Lami, and Fashion Trust will be selling their ranges of leather bags and shoes; woven baskets, trays and décor; crocheted garments, traditional attire, and beaded accessories. “We are thrilled to host these incredibly talented local craftsmen at Crocworld this festive season, and encourage visitors to stop by their stalls and support local businesses for Christmas shopping and more!” commented Susan Badat, Crocworld Conservation Centre Manager. The mini market forms part of a full Christmas programme at Crocworld, with Reconciliation Day spent celebrating Henry the Nile crocodile’s 125th birthday. This included a singing of Happy Birthday, free early-bird cupcakes and great sponsor giveaways – plus meat for the birthday boy sponsored by Fresh Food Market Scottburgh. There will still be a Secret Santa Pop-Up, daily crocodile feedings (11am and 3pm), and great food and drinks from Fish Eagle Café – including a free New Year’s Day Slushi (first-come, first-served).
