Holidaymakers and Crocworld Conservation Centre regulars flocked to the Scottburgh-based centre on Saturday, 16 December to celebrate the 123rd birthday of celebrity croc, Henry. The oldest known Nile crocodile in captivity was honoured with a juicy piece of meat while party-goers enjoyed some free cupcakes. Visitors also stopped in to check out the centre’s second-oldest and second-biggest Nile crocodile, Colgate, who at 90-odd years is an impressive specimen himself! Crocworld’s Holiday Programme, which includes daily feedings and demonstrations, will continue until 17 January 2024, with great meals and drinks on offer at the on-site Fish Eagle Café.
