Pokémon Go became a worldwide phenomenon following its launch last month with users eagerly downloading the location-based, augmented reality game and searching for the elusive Pokémon. Niantic – creators of the hit game – intended to get electronics-users away from their homes, out into the real world, allowing them to become more active while also visiting the sites around them. Through the use of Google Maps, Pokémon and all its accompaniments, can be found at landmarks across the world with Crocworld Conservation Centre in Scottburgh being one such place.

  • The not-to-be-missed snake demonstration at 10.15am.
  • Crocodile feeding and talk at both 11am and 3pm.
  • Face painting all day
  • Unique 1km nature walk through the indigenous coastal dune forest at 12pm.
  • On Sunday 27 and Monday 28 March during the crocodile feedings, lucky children in the audience will get to meet the Easter Bunny who will be handing out Easter eggs. The Easter Bunny will also be posing for pictures with the children.

Geoff NicholsOn 13th February, renowned horticulturalist Geoff Nichols will kick off Crocworld Conservation Centre’s fourth year of monthly environmental talks. The talks, whose purpose is to inform and enthuse the general public about the exceptional flora and fauna of Southern Africa, have become increasingly popular since their inception in 2013 – with Nichols’ talk promising to bring in a larger audience than ever. The upcoming lecture is entitled “How To Grow And Conserve Indigenous Medicinal Plants”, and will give guests an insight into the twenty native species most coveted by traditional healers and herb gatherers.

Henry’s 115th Birthday Celebration
